Press

Press workrooms equipped with large screens will be available for both official and private press at the event venue. For accreditation purposes, official press personnel, including official press officers, camera operators, photographers, or similar staff directly affiliated with the authorities present, are classified as official press. Press members from broadcasters and government agencies must register as private press.

Official press accreditation

Accreditation will be managed by the Delegate Accreditation Officer (DAO) through the same system used for the official delegation. Members of the official press must be registered under the designation "Media" in the "Role" field of the accreditation system. Accreditation badges will be provided alongside the badges for the official delegation.

Private press accreditation

Press professionals wishing to cover the meeting must request accreditation by completing the form available on the following page: accreditation.

The accreditation system for private press professionals will remain open until October 25, 2024.

Due to security concerns and space limitations at the meeting venue, the number of press credentials issued will be limited, with considerations made to ensure the attendance of as many media outlets as possible while accommodating the venue's capacity. Therefore, submitting an application for accreditation does not guarantee that the press credential will be approved.

Permanent press credentials from the Chamber of Deputies and the Federal Senate will not be accepted.

Credentials are personal and non-transferable and will be distributed at a location, date, and time to be announced in due course.

Equipment

The procedure for the temporary admission of press equipment is governed by the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service. Assets belonging to members of the official press must be declared on a printed form, included in the annex to IN RFB No. 602/2005. It is advised to fill out a single form per delegation, listing all assets intended for admission into the national territory. The form can be accessed through the following link: click here.

Additional information can be found on the website: click here.

For the assets of private press professionals, declarations must be made individually using the electronic e-DBV form, which can be completed even before arriving in the country, via the following link: click here.

Private media professionals identified as part of foreign delegations through a Note Verbale from their respective Embassies or Ministries of Foreign Affairs may also use the form attached to IN RFB No. 602 of 2005 for the temporary admission of their equipment. Additional information can be found on the website: click here.
